Playground Build Day

Over 125 volunteers from Build-A-Bear Workshop, the Homeless Families Foundation and KaBOOM! came together to build a great new playground that will service more than 50 children daily in the Columbus community. The playground is one of ten Build-A-Bear Workshop will build across North America in conjunction with their 10th anniversary celebration and one of 230 KaBOOM! will lead across the country in 2007 in an effort to provide a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. The playground build began early in the morning with volunteers arriving at an empty site; within hours, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Homeless Families Foundation and KaBOOM! volunteers transformed the space into a vibrant neighborhood-gathering place, in less than eight hours flat.
